Portable telescopic ramps are the simplest option for loading the wheelchair. Compared to other loading options like tailboard ramps, lifts and loading hoists they have number of drawbacks. You have to put them out of the car, spread out and put together, they occupy usable room for other load in the car and handling an electric wheelchair on the ramps is complicated and often dangerous. The only appropriate use is when loading the wheelchair without person.
