The swivelling seat is a certified device that makes entry and exit easier for drivers and front passengers with disabilities. It also helps passengers who assist others.

Designed to retain the original vehicle seat, it ensures comfort while preserving the interior. Integrated safety features such as airbags, seat belt pretensioners, and seat heating remain fully functional. Custom seats can also be installed on request. The swivelling seat is officially recorded in the vehicle registration documents.

Advantages and Features of Our Swivel Seats

  • absolutely reliable equipment
  • routine servicing free of charge even after the warranty period
  • no weight limit
  • automatic locking in the end positions of rotation
  • the seat is mounted using the original anchoring points

Technical Design of the Swivel Seat

The seat automatically moves into the vehicle during rotation, using the original sliding rails. For this reason, we install additional sliding rails on the upper part of the swivel plate. These provide longitudinal seat adjustment inside the vehicle and, if required, allow the seat to extend out of the vehicle after rotation. The swivel mechanism can be operated using a separate lever located on the rotating part of the seat on the door side. The seat’s longitudinal adjustment is retained and controlled by a locking lever or bar positioned at the front of the seat cushion. The overall swivel seat design is engineered to ensure maximum passive safety for both the vehicle and its occupants.

Placement and Installation Options for the Swivel Seat

The swivel seat is suitable for almost every type of vehicle, and cases where installation is not possible are rather rare. We particularly recommend it for lower vehicles, where the seat height is closer to that of a wheelchair. In some cases, the swivel seat is also suitable for taller vehicles, especially if the person with a disability can stand up independently or with assistance.

Driver’s Swivel Seat

  • In three-door vehicles, the swivel seat makes it easier to load a wheelchair into the space behind the front seats, as the available space allows the seat to rotate by almost 90°.
  • In four-door vehicles, the driver's seat usually cannot be rotated a full 90°, due to the design of the vehicle’s B-pillar and the position of the steering wheel. The doors on these vehicles are narrower, and the seat must align precisely with the doorway during rotation.

Front Passenger Swivel Seat

When installed in the front passenger position, the swivel seat provides more comfortable vehicle access for the transported person and makes assistance by a companion or caregiver easier. In the vast majority of cases, the seat can be rotated by 90°.

Before choosing a vehicle, we recommend consulting our company to verify whether installation of a front passenger swivel seat is possible, as it may be affected by the design of the door sill. In some vehicles, such as the Ford Fusion, Ford Fiesta, or Peugeot 308, installation of a swivel seat in the front passenger position may not be possible.
