Placement and Installation Options for the Swivelling Seat

The swivelling seat is suitable for almost all types of vehicles, and it is rare that installation is not possible. We especially recommend it for lower vehicles, so that the seat aligns with the height of a wheelchair. In some cases, the swivelling seat can also be used in taller vehicles, particularly if the person with a disability can stand independently or with assistance.

  • In three-door vehicles, the driver’s swivelling seat makes it easier to load a wheelchair into the space behind the front seat, as the seat can typically rotate almost 90°.
  • In four-door vehicles, the driver’s seat usually cannot rotate a full 90° due to the design of the B-pillar and the position of the steering wheel. The doors on these vehicles are narrower, so the seat must be aligned precisely when moving towards the door.

Front Passenger Swivelling Seat

The front passenger swivelling seat provides easier access for the passenger and facilitates assistance from a companion. In the vast majority of cases, the seat can rotate a full 90°.

Before selecting a vehicle, we recommend consulting with our company to confirm whether the passenger swivelling seat can be installed, as the door-step design may limit installation. In some vehicles, such as the Ford Fusion, Fiesta, or Peugeot 308, installation in the front passenger position may not be possible.
