In some vehicles where the height difference between the seat and the wheelchair is too great, we therefore recommend using a special seat. After swivelling, this device moves out of the vehicle and lowers to wheelchair height. The seat extension is operated via an electric control. We usually install this seat in more spacious vehicles such as small vans like the Citroën Berlingo, larger SUVs, or vans.
The same solution can be used in vans in the second row of seats, which is particularly useful for special schools, care homes, or companies transporting disabled people. The electrically operated seat slides out of the vehicle and lowers to a level that allows a disabled person to sit comfortably or transfer from a wheelchair. For the lifting seat, we usually use a special seat designed for this modification. On request, the original seat can be used if installation conditions allow. The seat lift height is 39.5 cm, and the load capacity is 150 kg.
